KSHC 2s v Okehampton 2s - Saturday 29th November 2025

Sarah Budgen30 Nov - 16:04

“Kingsbridge & Salcombe shine with unity, grit, and a superb 3–1 performance.”

Away at Okehampton 2s for their eighth game of the season, Kingsbridge & Salcombe put in one of their sharpest performances so far, taking a well-earned 3–1 win after a display full of energy, teamwork, and calm finishing.

The visitors settled quickly and took the lead thanks to Nicky, who tucked away the opener in the 15th minute. The team kept the tempo high and continued to link up well, moving the ball confidently through the midfield. Early in the second half, Nicky struck again in the 38th minute, doubling the advantage and giving Kingsbridge & Salcombe real momentum.

Not long after, Charley made it 3–0 with a brilliant finish following one of her trademark runs up the wing. The opposition pulled one back from an unfortunate deflection off JL, but it didn’t shake the team, who stayed organised and focused.

There was a brief scare when Sophie took a hit to the face during a short corner, but she brushed it off with real toughness and carried on contributing well.

Both new players slotted in superbly on their debuts, showing confidence, composure, and great awareness. Rosie picked up Player of the Match for an outstanding first performance.

All game long, Kingsbridge & Salcombe worked beautifully as a unit — crisp passes, clever movement, and constant communication kept them on top. Hannah created space brilliantly, Charley was a constant threat down the wing, and Boots delivered some excellent saves to keep things steady at the back.
