Kingsbridge and Salcombe Hockey Ladies 1st Team continued their unbeaten streak with a composed 4–0 win away to Dawlish Ladies 2nds on Saturday 15th October.
The visitors applied relentless attacking pressure in the opening 15 minutes, setting the tone for a dominant performance. The breakthrough came from a well-worked move, with Darcey delivering a precise cross to Julia, who calmly tapped the ball past the goalkeeper.
Tess, Hannah, and Izzy maintained control in the back line, moving the ball confidently and creating attacking options. Their composure laid the foundation for the second goal, which came from a short corner. Hannah provided the stop, and Julia struck with pace and accuracy into the bottom left corner.
After the break, Kingsbridge and Salcombe continued to build momentum. Debbie, Charley, and Violet made confident drives forward, linking up with fluid interplay that kept Dawlish on the back foot. The third goal came from another short corner, with Maddie slipping into space and finishing with a confident shot past the keeper.
Dawlish mounted a few line breaks in the final ten minutes, but Sophie stood firm in Goal, ensuring a clean sheet. The final goal came from a high strike by Julia, deflected off the keeper and tapped in by Sarah, whose tireless work on the wing was rewarded.
Player of the Match was shared between Charley and Sarah, for their epic work in the midfield. Thank you to Julie Lee for umpiring!
